How to choose a hot tub for North Dakota
Size and seating
Count who will actually use it most nights, then add one. A couple usually lands in a 3 to 5 seat tub. A family of five or six wants a 6 to 7 seat model. Loungers are great for one person and take a seat away from everybody else, so if the whole family soaks together, look at open bench models.
Power: plug in or 240V
Plug in models run on a regular 120V household outlet and heat more slowly in deep cold. Most full size tubs need a 240V, 40 to 60 amp circuit run by a licensed electrician with a GFCI disconnect. We will tell you what each model needs before you buy, and we can recommend electricians around Minot and Williston.
Built for 20 below
In North Dakota the cover and the insulation matter more than the jet count. Ask about full foam versus perimeter insulation, how thick the cover is at the center, and whether the model has a hard cover option like Strong Spas' DURA-SHIELD or the Eco Spas hard lid.
Where it goes
A filled hot tub weighs several thousand pounds. A level concrete pad, pavers on compacted gravel or a deck built for the load all work. Keep it close to the back door so you actually use it in January, and check the path for our delivery crew: gates, steps, slopes and tight corners.

Which hot tub brands do you sell?

Do I need an electrician?
For a 240V hot tub, yes. A licensed electrician runs a dedicated circuit with a GFCI disconnect. Plug in models like Artesian Garden Spas and some Eco Spas run on a standard 120V outlet.
Can I use a hot tub all winter in North Dakota?
Yes, and most of our customers use theirs more in winter than in summer. Keep the cover on and latched, keep the water level up and keep the tub running. We will show you how on delivery day.
How long does delivery take?
In-stock tubs can often go out within days, weather and site prep allowing. Models we order take longer. Ask for current timing when you get your price.
